      | About Us Women in Film and Television South Africa (WIFTSA) was founded in 2005 and has grown steadily into an active organisation focussed on providing a professional platform for women in the film and television industry to network and learn. As an affiliate of WIFT International, a group that spans 14 countries and has over 10 000 members, WIFTSA offers its members access to contacts all over the world. | Who we are WIFTSA Board 2008 WIFTSA welcomes women and men interested in the professional development and empowerment of women in the film and television industry. We are an inclusive, volunteer-driven organisation open to people of all backgrounds, working at all levels of the industry. Our members include the owners of production companies, directors, entertainment lawyers, actresses, camerawomen, make-up artists and students. | What we do | As an event-oriented organisation, WIFTSA achieves its aims through two main strategies - networking and skills development. Our lecture series addresses topics of interest to newcomers as well as established players in the industry and facilitates the transfer of skills. Our networking events are tailor-made to enable women to make valuable contacts and exchange ideas in a professional but friendly environment. The WIFTSA website also offers leads and resources to women looking for information on everything from where to find grants, to where to study. | Proudly supported by |
